Maria S. Minaeva

Maria “Masha” S. Minaeva, 24, of Warwick, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday March 6th. Born in Winter Haven, Florida, she was the daughter of Sergey Minaev of Providence and Galina Rechetova of Marlborough. 

In her younger years, she enjoyed figure skating for The Skating Club of Boston. Winning many awards both locally and nationally, Maria cherished her friends and family, bringing her free spirit, joyous personality and beautiful smile to everyone she met. 

Maria graduated from Grafton High School in Massachusetts and was currently working in the restaurant industry.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister, Irina Grichina, her stepmother, Michelle Rotella, a stepbrother, Christopher Rotella; a stepsister, Tori Rotella; and a nephew, Nicholas Quinonez; a brother-in-law Rainel Quinonez Ruiz; as well as adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. 

Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Tuesday March 12th, 9:00 am 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.  Burial will be private in Massachusetts.
