Obituary
Mario M. DeMelo, 64, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Rosa J. Balona.
Born in Faial, Azores, he was the son of the late Patricio and Anna (DeMendonca) DeMelo .
Besides his wife, he is survived by a loving daughter, Stephanie Melo and stepchildren, Sandra, Elia and Edson Balona. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Bianca, Lizette and Stephany Rodriguez; stepgrandchildren, Tiago and Diandra Marland and Malik and Donnell Lange; a dear great-granddaughter, Nyla Riviera and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral home service will be held on Friday, August 21st at 10am at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
