Mario Della Rosa

Della Rosa, Mario 99, of Providence passed away peacefully at the RI Veterans Home, Bristol on Monday, March 26, 2018 He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Albanese) Della Rosa. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rafaele and Marietta (Rizzo) Della Rosa. He was a graduate of Classical High School and Providence College. Mario worked for the State of RI Division of Personnel until his retirement in 1978. He was an Army Veteran serving during WWII. He is survived by his loving sons, Ralph Della Rosa (Susann) and Thomas Della Rosa (Linda);4 grandchildren Jason Della Rosa, Amy (Hans) Lasher, Jocelyn (Timothy) Baumann and Audra (Lucas Bianco) Della Rosa and 5 great-grandchildren Logan and Luke Lasher, Aston, Ryder and Isabella Baumann. He was the brother of the late Domenic Della Rosa and Michelina Ranaldi. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 2nd from 9-10:30am at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
