Mark J. Dupre

January 14, 2021

Obituary

Mark J. Dupre, 65, of Manville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Mark was the beloved husband of Kimberly who was the love of his life for 20 years. She was always by his side caring for him, especially after being the recipient of an organ transplant.

Mark grew up in Woonsocket, RI and participated in many outdoor sports activities, especially baseball.  He had a passion for dirt bike racing in his early years. He enjoyed jazz and blues music.  Their favorite place was the beach they use to visit in the sunshine city of St. Petersburg, Fl.  Mark’s greatest love and passion was fishing! He would drop a line in the water daily, if at all possible, and would often participate in weekend fishing tournaments with his fishing buddies.

Mark worked construction as a union carpenter and later became a roofing contractor.

Mark was predeceased by his parents Joseph P. and Stella Dupre. He is survived by his two sons, Peter and David Dupre, who reside in Texas. Mark also leaves behind his brothers, Richard Dupre and his wife, Zuraya who reside in Palm Coast, Florida, and Joseph Dupre and his wife, Linda of North Smithfield, RI. He also will be sorely missed by his beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Although we are saddened by the loss of Mark and Kim, they lived and loved life and are undoubtedly together in heaven, looking down on all of us and will be greatly missed forever.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket, RI on Friday February 5th at 10 am.   The family will begin receiving guests from 9AM to 10AM prior to the Liturgy in the church. Due to current restrictions, social distancing and masks are required. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Mark’s name can be made to the New England Donor Services, 60 1st Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
