Famiglietti, Mary D. (Cloos) 88, formally of Providence, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on April 27, 2017. She was the wife of the late Rudolph U. Famiglietti (Retired PPD). They had been married 41 years until his passing. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Herbert W. and Anna A. (Hartman) Cloos. She had worked 20 years for Sears in Providence before retiring in 1990. She loved to travel visiting many different places including Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Hawaii, Alaska, Caribbean islands, and Bermuda. She enjoyed spending time with her children and their families. She was blessed with many long lasting friendships that tremendously enriched her life. She also befriended any animal that crossed her path and was known to all as a devoted animal-lover. She is survived by her loving children Stephen Famiglietti, Gary Famiglietti, Daniel Famiglietti (PPD), and Suzanne Uva. Her adoring 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late William H. Cloos, the late Eleanor M. Parker, and the late Virginia G. Walsh. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 8:45 AM from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine Church, 635 Mt. Pleasant Ave. Providence. Calling hours will be held Monday 5 to 8. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
