Parente, Nicoletta, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Pellegrino Parente and they were happily married for 65 years.
Born in Cerreto Sannita, BE, (Italy), she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Pasqualina (Meglio) Parente. Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children Anthony Parente and his wife Linda (Gaudette) of Greenville, Rosetta Bucci and her husband Anthony of Johnston, and John Parente and his wife Stacey (DelColle) of Northford, CT.
She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren David and Jillian Bucci, Steven and Monique Bucci, Christopher Parente, Matthew Cassiere, Abbey Parente, and Carley Parente, and three dear great-grandchildren Logan, Alexander and Stella. She was the sister of the late Liberantonio, Giuseppe, Angelina, Antonetta Parente and Maria Guarino, all of Ceretto Sannita. Nicoletta also leaves behind numerous loving nieces and nephews in the USA, Canada and Italy.
Nicoletta and her family arrived in the North End of Providence more than 50 years ago and have remained in their beloved home ever since. She worked in the jewelry industry for 25 years before retiring to her garden paradise in their very own backyard. Mom’s vibrant lifestyle – gardening, walking, cooking, dancing – and her insatiable love of life and family are an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 14th at 10:30am from the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence.
