Norma Caldarone, 93, of Providence, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Elmhurst Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Providence. Born in Woonsocket, RI on June 20, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Ramella) Fioravanti.
Norma worked at Women & Infants Hospital for over 30 years. She took great pride in her work, loved helping patients, and was admired by her colleagues. She received several awards such as “Employee of the Month” in which her coworker described her as “most deserving of this award due to her caring, generosity and love of patients and staff alike.” Her free time was spent with family whom she adored. Norma was a “Nana” to every one of her granddaughter Amanda’s friends. That says it all about the type of woman Norma was.
She was the wife of the late Bruno Giordano and the late Dr. Harold Caldarone. In addition to her husbands and parents, Norma was also predeceased by her brother Emil Fioravanti.
Norma is survived by her daughter Roberta Anne Giordano and her granddaughter Amanda Nicole Musumeci.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 30th at 10am at St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be private.
