Patria Jerez

Patria Jerez, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 3, 2023, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.

 She was born in the Dominican Republic, the daughter of the late Valdemiro Garcia and Elcilia Jerez.

Patria is survived by her loving daughters, Marilyn Miliano of Providence, Milgros (Armando) Rodriguez of Charlotte, NC, and Carmen (Rosendo Serverino) Jerez of Providence. Sons; Candelanio Jerez, Adolfo Jerez, Daniel Jerez, Joselo Miliano, Juan Miliano, Casimiro Miliano, and Esteban Miliano. She also leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness in her many grandchildren.

Her life was one filled with simple joys and selflessness. She found delight in playing dominos, listening to music, and watching TV, with a special fondness for soap operas. However, her greatest passion lay in her unwavering dedication to helping others, especially children. She touched the hearts of many with her compassionate spirit.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00-7:00 at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Wednesday, November 8,2023.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 9,2023 from 9:00 – 10:00in the funeral home. Burial to follow at North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Ave. Providence RI 02904

Patria Jerez, una querida madre y abuela, falleció pacíficamente con su familia a su lado el 3 de noviembre de 2023 en el Centro de Hospicio Philip Hulitar. Nació en República Dominicana, hija del fallecido Valdemiro Garcia y Elcilia Jerez.

A Patria le sobreviven sus queridas hijas, Marilyn Miliano de Providence, Milgros (Armando) Rodríguez de Charlotte, Carolina del Norte, y Carmen (Rosendo Serverino) Jerez de Providence. Hijos; Candelanio Jerez, Adolfo Jerez, Daniel Jerez, Joselo Miliano, Juan Miliano, Casimiro Miliano y Esteban Miliano. También deja un legado de amor y bondad en sus numerosos nietos.

Su vida estuvo llena de alegrías sencillas y altruismo. Le encantaba jugar al dominó, escuchar música y mirar televisión, con especial afición por las telenovelas. Sin embargo, su mayor pasión residía en su inquebrantable dedicación a ayudar a los demás, especialmente a los niños. Tocó los corazones de muchos con su espíritu compasivo.

Patria Jerez será recordada por su amor ilimitado, su compromiso de hacer del mundo un lugar mejor y las innumerables vidas que tocó a lo largo de su vida.

El horario de visita se llevará a cabo en el A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, miércoles 8 de noviembre de 2023, 4:00-7:00

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el jueves 9 de noviembre de 2023 de 9:00 a 10:00 en la funeraria. El entierro se realizará en North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Ave. Providence RI 02904
