Brenda and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Raymond was a fun and loving soul. He always had a story to tell and he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. I remember all the fun we had growing up on Springfield Ave. Summer pool parties and hanging in the playground til the street lights came on. Raymond was like the brother I never had. My thoughts and my heart are with you. RIP Raymond.

Brenda, I am so sorry to hear about your brother's passing. Please take comfort in the fact that you had a loving relationship with him. It makes all the difference in the world as time goes by to have loving memories. I'm here for you if you ever need a shoulder to cry on.

Brenda, I was stunned to learn that your brother passed away. It's never easy to go through this experience, even more so when your loved one is so young . . . it makes it harder to comprehend. You shared some of your brothers traits with me, one being that he loved people and had so many friends and acquaintances. That's speaks volumes to his character and the love he experienced from many throughout his life. I try to look at it as though death is another phase of life and we all will experience that passage, almost like, you know, another sacrament (for us Catholics), which we must complete before we make it to paradise. Love you my friend.

Dear Brenda and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Ray's passing. We reconnected several years ago through FB which gave us the opportunity to rediscover our memories of "the old days". Ray will be missed deeply. My sincere condolences.

One minor correction. Raymond was never a flight attendant for American Airlines. He worked briefly in a call center for American but he was a flight attendant for Tower Air. I'm sure his Tower Air colleagues would appreciate the proper acknowledgment as well.

RIP, Raymond. You seemed like a really good guy. Taken too soon.

Thank you Jeff for the clarification. I appreciate it and I believe that some of his colleagues from Tower Air have been in contact with him and sending condolences.

Best regards,
Brenda Rooney

Dear Raymond,

Ever since we were kids, I was the one that you confided in first with all of your worldly secrets and dreams. We did so much together. Remember riding our mini bikes in the cemetery next to Dad's house, going to USA Skates and roller skating then going out to the "Pawtucket House of Pizza" for "Fantastic" pizza. Of course, we can never forget the paper route that we had together and delivered the papers during the blizzard of '78. OMG riding down Cherry Hill Road in our little red wagon, so lucky we didn't get killed by a car. Being at the paper stop before the papers were delivered at 4:00 in the morning. Could have killed you for waking me up so damn early!!!! Those were the days of our wacky childhood. Then onto hairdressing school for you where of course, I was your guinea pig, I mean "your project". I still have a scar on my ear from your first haircut and let's not forget the first perm where I swear that there are scars on my scalp, only you and I probably remember this. I'd do it all again for you! As you said to me the other night, where did all the years go. It seems like yesterday when we were just kids. All through our lives we've been close right down to your last day here on this earth. I was so glad you made it back home where I was able to see you and spend time with you before you passed away in my arms. Mom and Grandma came to get you after preparing your place in heaven. You would cry uncontrollably on the phone to me when Mom would pay her "visits" to you. I will forever keep batteries in my musical ornaments on my Christmas tree. LOL I know you are so happy now to be with Mom as you missed her desperately. I will miss all of our conversations no matter how much time would go by in between. You were blessed with the "gift to gab" there Barbara Walters. LOL Who is going to call me now and say "Hi Pumpkin"? Although I'm sure you will be paying me "visits" too just don't freak me out too much!!!! I am going to miss you so much there are no words that can describe. You being the most awesome spinner of music, must remember the song "He ain't heavy, he's my brother"....well those are the words that I will leave you with. You weren't heavy Raymond, you were my AWESOME (somewhat quirky) brother!!!! I LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY. RIP XOXOXO ~ Love, "Pumpkin"
