Raymond “Ray” H. Gromkiewicz

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Raymond “Ray” H. Gromkiewicz, 54, of North Smithfield, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020, following a brave and valiant battle with renal cancer, at his home, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of his dear family. He was the devoted husband to Jacqueline (Irizarry) Gromkiewicz.

Born on August 14, 1966, in Providence, he was the doting son of the late Raymond H. Gromkiewicz, Jr. and Muriel R. (Bergeron) Gromkiewicz.

Ray worked as a Machine Operator in the manufacturing field.

In his spare time, Ray enjoyed watching sports, especially the New York Yankees and his children’s sporting events. He was an avid fisherman and he liked to play darts, as he was a member of a dart league. Above all, Ray was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his dear family.

In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by children: Heather Gromkiewicz; Matthew Gromkiewicz; Samantha Gromkiewicz; and Devan Stern. He was the loving brother to Lisa Bouffard. He will be sorely missed by his niece, Kattie Bouffard. He is also survived by many friends and extended family members.

Ray is predeceased by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence, RI 02904 on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, from 9-11 AM. Social distancing and use of face masks is mandatory.
