Richard J. Ellis

Richard J. Ellis, 79, passed away at home, Friday August 5th.  He was the beloved husband of Diana (Morena) Ellis for 54 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Theodore and Marjorie (Harrington) Ellis.

He was employed for many years by New England Telephone Company and AT&T.

Richard was blessed with many wonderful friends.  His family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Fatima Hospital and the Town of Smithfield Fire & Rescue teams.

Besides his wife he is survived by four children, Dina DePalo, Rebecca Ellis, Ted Ellis, and Lisa Ellis; eight grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Wetmore, Brandon Ellis, Massimo and Luca DePalo, Isaiah and Ciara Ellis, and Alijah Gibson. He was the brother of the late Ted and Leonard Ellis.

Funeral services are private.
