Richard Keese

Richard A. Keese, a long-time resident of Carmel, New York, and recent resident of Taunton, MA, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was born in White Plains, New York, to the late Heinrich Walter and Dorothea Else Keese.

Richard was an amazing father who leaves behind his loving children, son Jimmy Keese and daughter Breanna Keese. He was a proud grandfather to Kylee, Ricky, Teddy, and Matilda.

In addition to his family, Richard embraced many passions in his life. He was a man of action with a never-ending list of projects to get done and interests to explore. He was a car enthusiast, an avid collector of beer steins, an animal lover, aspiring expert on all thing’s chocolate, and a devoted New York Jets fan. He loved to share these passions with friends and family, creating many fond memories and connections with those around him.

Richard always brought a presence to a room, and always had a story to tell, a joke to share, or a random nugget of wisdom to pass on. He was sharp-witted, principled, hilarious (unintentionally at times!), and loving. He is, and will always be, deeply missed. We love you, Daddy/Rick/Opi/Rickward!

Arrangements are in the care of A.A. Mariani and Son Funeral Home. Services are private at the request of the family and Richard.
