Robert J. Brown

Robert J. Brown, 89 formerly of North providence, passed away Tuesday August 29th.  He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis L. (Lambert) Brown.

Born in Cranston he was a son of the late Mildred Brown and stepson of the late Carmine Volante.

Mr. Brown was employed by Corning Glass for many years prior to retiring. 

He is survived by a stepdaughter, Darlene Doucette and her husband Eugene; a stepdaughter-in-law, Brenda Davis; three sisters, Carmenetta Frapwell, Carol Fisher, and Genevieve Renaud; two brothers, Joseph Volante and Kenneth Volante; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a niece Tammy Renaud; a nephew Brian Renaud; as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepson, Russell Davis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 12th at 11:00 am at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.  Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
