Ronnie Gonzalez, 56, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday November 29th. He was the beloved fiancé of Laurie Durango.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of Esperanza Medina and the late Jesus Gonzalez.
Ronnie formerly worked security as well as volunteer at church food banks in New York. Ronnie enjoyed gaming, fishing, riding his bicycle, cooking and was a Star Wars fanatic, and was a Die-Hard New York Yankees fan.
He touched the hearts of many people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Ronnie had a personality larger than life and an ability to make everyone smile. He will be greatly missed. If you were lucky enough to know Ronnie, cherish the memories you have. Laugh and smile when you think of him and be thankful for having met him.
In addition to his beloved fiancé, he is survived by a daughter, Casandra Gonzalez; two sisters he adored, Annmarie Munoz and Jamie Borden; two nephews, Bernardino Munoz, Jr. and Jayson McClain; and two nieces, Deanna Munoz, and Laiyla Ahmed.
