Obituary

Rose M. Solomon (Milan) 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at home.  She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel G. Solomon and loving mother of the late Honorable Joseph J. Solomon former Mayor of Warwick and his wife Cindy.

 

She is survived by her loving children, RoseMarie Fontaine and her companion Spencer Maynard, Nancy Armoush and her husband Robert, Carol Paiva, Linda Maroun and her husband Kenneth and Marilyn Bruzzese and her husband Raymond. She is also survived by her 10 cherished grandchildren, Robert Armoush, Dr. Christy Paiva, Melanie Gomes (Shawn),  Joseph A. Paiva,  State Representative Joseph J. Solomon Jr. , Samuel Armoush, Louis Maroun, Adriana Bruzzese, Matthew Maroun and Angelica Bruzzese and 2 great-grandchildren, Jonas and Gia Gomes. She was the mother-in-law of the late Russell Fontaine.

 

She was the sister of the late Tanous Azar and his late wife Jean, Ralph Azar, Sr. Catherine Azar, Sr. Yasmine Azar and Susan Farhart and her late husband Ron.  She also leaves her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who were like siblings to her, the Honorable Anthony J. Solomon and his late wife Sarah, Jeanette Solomon and her late husband John, and Donald Solomon and his late wife Mary Ann.  She was ‘Auntie Rosie’ to many devoted nieces and nephews. She was the loving niece to the late Eva and Fred Simon.   

 

Rose was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother.  She had a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother.  Her kind and gentle manner will be missed by all who loved her.

 

The family would like to thank her caregivers who helped make it possible for her to live at home and Hope Health Hospice for their care and compassion during her final days.

 

Visiting hours will be Friday, September 17th from 9-9:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. George Maronite Church, 1493 Cranston St. Cranston RI  02920 Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George Maronite Church.  Arrangements entrusted to A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, Providence.
