Shirley J. Palmieri

Shirley J. Palmieri (Dansereau) 87, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Palmieri Jr.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Florida "Frieda" (LaPlante) Dansereau.

She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Palmieri of Providence, Michael "Mickey" Palmieri of Cranston, Paula Pallozzi and her husband Peter of Providence, Mark Palmieri and his wife Kathryn of Lincoln and Linda Asprinio and her husband Carl of Cranston. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kayla Netto and her husband Matthew, Andrew Pallozzi and his wife Alessandra, Julia Dacey and her husband Jeffrey, Dominic Asprinio, Nicole Pallozzi, Mason Palmieri and Samantha Asprinio and her beloved great-grandchildren, Natalie and Avery Netto, Addison Dacey and Viviana Pallozzi.

She was the sister of the late Gloria Wodecki, Alfred Dansereau and Robert Dansereau. 

Shirley loved spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren at sporting events, theatre, dance, academic and social activities.  She always had a smile on her face and was very proud of her family.  Shirley opened her home and heart to many of her children’s friends and was like a 2nd Mom to many.  She had a sense of humor that would bring joy to everyone around her.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Shirley's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 12:00 pm. at St Augustine Church, 635 Mt Pleasant Ave, Providence. Mask wearing and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
