Obituary
Susan C. DeSimone, 73, of Johnston passed away unexpectedly Tuesday February 28th. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. DeSimone for 53 years.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Gerald H. and Julia D. (Weir) Asselin.
She will be remembered for her generosity and putting others before herself. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert E. DeSimone, Jr.; a daughter, Amy D. Raposo (Kevin); three grandchildren, Julia A. Raposo, Charlotte R. Raposo, and Greyson K. Raposo; a sister, Arlene V. Botelho; and two brothers, Gerald P. Asselin and Robert K. Asselin.
Visiting hours will be at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, Wednesday March 8th, 8:30am – 10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette Street, Johnston. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
