Obituary

Cannavaro, Vittoria (Aloi), 90, left this world peacefully and entered eternal peace on Monday, January 4, 2021. 

She was the wife of the late Antonio Cannavaro and daughter of the late Antonia (Casella) Aloi. Born in Colla (Sicily) Italy, she moved to Warren in 1970 and was a communicant of St. Alexander's Church.  She is survived by her devoted children Joseph Cannavaro (AnnaMaria) and Antoinette Cannavaro, her beloved grandchildren Antonio and Lisetta.  She also leaves 5 nieces and 1 nephew.  She is pre deceased by her sister Antonina (Aloi) Casala and her brother Antonino Aloi. Vittoria worked at Taylor Box and R.J. Manufacturing.  She was also a trained professional seamstress all her life.  She treasured her family and was most proud of her grandchildren.   Best known for her caring selfless manner, generous heart and kindness shown to all. She enjoyed cooking up a feast of original Sicilian recipes from scratch and found immense joy having her family over for dinners. She will be deeply missed and her memory lives on through all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. Due to current COVID restrictions visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 12th at 11am at St. Ann’s Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence.  Face masks and social distancing will be required in church.  Burial will be private. Contributions in her memory can be made by making a gesture of loving kindness to someone, be they familiar or a stranger
