Gianquitti, William L. 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care. He was the beloved husband of Elena M. (Grenga) Gianquitti. They were happily married for 68 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Rose (Capuano) Gianquitti.
William worked as a Cook at Eleanor Slater Hospital for 20 years before retiring. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Ann Marie Gianquitti; a sister, Evelyn Casale and cherished grandchildren, Matthew W. Supinski and his wife Nicole and Brandon P. Supinski.
He was the brother of the late Mary Moore, Anna Balasco, Corrine DiSarro, Nicholas and Robert Gianquitti.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
