Parsons, William E., JR., “Eddy” 15, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of William “Earl” and Michelle (Thompson) Parsons.
Eddy was a kind, caring, compassionate gentleman, who always helped his parents. Especially his mom, he was the type of son to pick up his little sister from school, wait at the bus stop for his mom when she worked the second shift, took out the garbage without being asked. He loved his sisters with all his heart and his big sister, Tatiyana, was his best friend, it was very rare that you would see Tati without Eddy. He was a devoted L.A. Lakers and Dallas Cowboys fan. Eddy loved hip-hop and his favorite artist was 2Pac.
Eddy was a sophomore at Central High School. He was passionate about playing basketball, he played recreational basketball in his neighborhood and was going to try out for his school’s basketball team in December. Eddy had aspirations to be a Rhode Island State Trooper and was planning to apply for the academy after graduation from high school.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving sisters, Tatiyana M. Parsons and Kiyana M. Parsons; maternal grandparents, Pauline Thompson and the late Leon Lee Thompson, Sr., and paternal grandparents, Kathy T. Baker and Treze Martin. He is also survived by many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Even though Eddy had a short life, he touched many lives and inspired many people. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 11am-1pm at the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a funeral home service at 1pm. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground, Providence. marianiandson.com
