Engels Jonathan Suriel, 36, passed away on March 19, 2017 among family at Hope Hospice & Palliative

Care. He was born on April 14th, 1980 and raised in Providence, RI. He was the son of Rosa Cruz & the

late Rafael Suriel, Sr. He went to Textron Chamber Academy and Hope High School. He was highly

motivated, self-driven & a true entrepreneur. He was also a great friend, extremely loyal & loved hard.

He enjoyed making people laugh, spending time with family, camping, traveling and he loved the hustle.

His favorite teams were the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Celtics. Engels was a unique

soul extremely charismatic, who ALWAYS SMILED and was loyal to all the people in his life. A true fighter

who was given 17 months to live and was able to fight Cancer for 7 years. He made a real impact in

many people’s lives.

He is survived by his children Yomaira Suriel and Gianly Suriel, Step-Father Henry Godoy, brother Rafael

Suriel with wife Jeanette, Joseph Suriel, sisters Janelle Suriel-Watkins with husband Brian Watkins,

Yessenia Suriel with husband Jose PGuero, Yokasta Torres , Paola Pattenden. His nieces Hailey, Jayleen,

Nikia, Gigi , Nani, and nephews JR, Jhamere, Jayce, Juliano, Jordy and Justin.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday March 23, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence. There will be a repast on Sunday.
