Marginson, Robert A. 59, of Rumford, RI passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2017.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Goulet) Marginson.

Robert served his country as a member of the RI National Guard.  He was a member of the Newport Elks #104 for 9 years.  Rob looked forward each summer to spending time in Newport as a security worker at the Newport Folk and Jazz festivals. He was an avid music buff, particularly enjoying jazz and dancing whenever he could. Rob was a salesman for True Green.  As one of seven children and the uncle of so many nieces and nephews Rob had great love for and was always proud of this large extended family. Rob is survived by his siblings, William Marginson and his wife Rose, Stephen Marginson and his wife Carol, Leslie McDonald and her husband Thomas, Mary Moore, John Marginson and his wife Denise, and James Marginson and his wife Susan.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 8:30 AM from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St. Providence.  Calling hours will be held Wednesday morning 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.  Burial will be private.
