Dear Camillo,
I am so very sorry for your loss and for not knowing sooner. Regretfully, the last time that I saw John was at my mom's wake in 2016; ironically, at Mariani and Sons. I Thought of him often and most recently yesterday. In my search to connect with John , his obituary appeared. Initially, I thought it was a misprint . Sadly, it was not. I am still in disbelief.
There are only happy and humorous thoughts of John....we would joke that we knew each other since the " hospital" since our birthdays are just 4days apart to the day- 1961.
You will both be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Cam and Regina,
I’m not sure if I am replying to Reginas entry or posting my own condolences. But I am in total shock also upon finding out that John passed away in 2017. I had written a post on Facebook saying “ where in the world is John Pierro..” and I got the link to his obituary. I can’t express how sorry I am to Cam and John’s friends and family. As he wrote in my GJ West yearbook
“.. from slaps on the back in third grade to best friends..” I knew him well and we shared so many laughs while listening to music for hours that ended up being a lifelong friendship. Rest In Peace my dear friend John. I will always remember you.

John has been a friend of mine since about 1966 when we met in the Art & Music Department of the Providence Public Library. He was given listening privileges not granted to those of his age because of his interest in music and generally appealing personality. Over the years we've met/written/talked on the phone. He has been a constant presence in my life and I will very much miss knowing that calls and notes will no longer be coming. His devotion to music was so special. I hope he is at peace now.

I am so very sorry for your loss , he was a wonderful friend to my son's , Michael and Kyle Myette.
I always was amazed with his kindness and undeniable faith .
I can remember the time he was so delighted as i presented him a pair of stone rosary beads
The times he came by , always helping others along the way .
His love of music , his amazing strengths , his love for his brother .
May God take him in his arms an protect him of any pain , as he knows John is a solider of God .

Camillo,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. We are very sad to hear of the passing of John, and we loved him dearly. We are grateful that we got to see you both this summer.
John never forgot a birthday or holiday and always made an attempt to call us on those special days, especially when it came to Victor.
Cindy is going to miss getting John's text messages and chatting with him about dance and music.
